Many of us are probably at the point where we are signed up for Marketing Automation tools for all of our digital marketing needs, especially if you are sending a lot of marketing emails. But what about the times when you’re working with a third party provider and you need to send a copy of your marketing email to an agency?
For designing marketing email creatives to send to a third party, here are some good solutions that meet your needs.
1. Canva
- Free Plan: Yes (with premium options).
- Features: Canva is a user-friendly graphic design tool that allows you to create professional email templates. It offers drag-and-drop functionality, customisable templates, and a wide range of design elements.
- Output: You can export your designs in various formats like PNG, JPEG, or PDF without watermarks, making it easy to share with your third party.
The thing to note with this option, is that your marketing will be an image based email. If you want to learn about the limitations of image-only based emails, read here.
2. Stripo
- Free Plan: Yes (with premium options).
- Features: Stripo specialises in email design. It provides a drag-and-drop editor and pre-designed templates. You can export your email design in HTML format or share it directly with your email service provider.
- Output: HTML, which is ideal for email creatives. No watermarks on exported designs.
This looks good. You can sign up without adding a card, and use it right away. Note, the free option will only export your design to HTML (or other code), or to an email platform like Gmail. The paid option allows you to export directly to most marketing software.
3. BEE Free
- Free Plan: Yes (with premium options).
- Features: BEE Free is an easy-to-use email design tool with a focus on creating responsive email templates. It provides various templates and customisation options.
- Output: You can export your designs in HTML format or download them as a ZIP file to send to your third party.
This one is very similar to Stripo, but it seems to limit your design choices more.
4. Adobe Spark (Now Adobe Express)
- Free Plan: Yes (with premium options).
- Features: Adobe Express allows you to create simple, visually appealing email graphics. While it doesn’t offer HTML export, it’s great for designing visuals that you can incorporate into your emails.
- Output: Export as JPEG or PNG without watermarks.
Similar to Canva, this will give you an image based email.
5. Google Slides/PowerPoint
- Free Plan: Yes (for Google Slides) and often included with Microsoft Office.
- Features: Both tools are versatile for creating email graphics. You can design the entire email in slides and export each slide as an image.
- Output: JPEG or PNG.
This option is entirely free. You’ll need to create a canvas from scratch as it is not purpose built for emails. Remember that an email should be 600 px wide.
Tips:
- File Format: If the third party requests a specific format like HTML, Stripo or BEE Free are ideal.
- Resolution and Dimensions: Ensure your design fits common email widths (600-800px) to maintain compatibility across devices.
- File Sharing: You can use Google Drive, Dropbox, or directly email the exported files to the third party.
These tools offer flexibility and ease of use, allowing you to create professional email designs without long-term commitments or subscriptions.
